In 2016, Joshua lost his little brother, Luther. Luther was brutally beaten to death by a young man with severe mental health problems. As a child, this man -similarly to Josh- suffered extreme abuse at the hands of those who were supposed to protect him. After Luther's death, Josh advocated for healing and forgiveness.
